Action shot!
Rumble shoos away a kitten during outside time. This is advancement from his previous reaction of running to the other end of the enclosure, even if the kitten was merely staring.
Vanna watches the fish
For right now, Vanna's house is right next to one of our fish tanks. She probably has the best seat in the house with an aquarium on her left and then all the other rabbits below for her viewing pleasure.

Ducky Boy
I'm always calling Ickus a little duck because of the way he sits in his litter box. Looks like a duck on her nest. Except these are different kinds of eggs... little eggs that look like Cocoa Puffs.

Meet Rumble
We picked him up on Friday at the same time as our new hotot girl. He is a 4-month-old Siamese Sable. That accounts for his funny patterns along his belly. He should clean up and take on some nice color as he ages.
Dad is a fan of the OKC Thunder, so he named Rumble after the mascot.

Hotot #3
This is our new girl. We picked her up at a rabbit show on Friday. We haven't given her a name yet. She is 3 years old and a total sweetie. It took her no time to adjust to her new home. Her only drawback is that she is a kicker when you hold her. This will be our only hotot with "feathering" of the eyeband. We find it charming.

Making Peace
Last night Hugs bit me hard. He is always on guard when a woman reaches into his cage, even if it is feeding time. But once he is out of the cage, he is on good behavior. He will even let me pet him while he is lying down, like in this photo.

Gone in a flash
Kiwi was a slow and casual eater in her younger days. When she matured to vegetable-eating age, we discovered her talent in devouring carrots and greens. I can only take 2 pictures maximum per carrot, then I have to get more. She hoovers parsely in a blink.

Litter pan for one?
The 3 bonded boys have been upgraded to a very large cage. This means we can fit a corner pan for each one. Mochi obviously prefers not to share.

The biggest mess in bunny history
JD has sullied his reputation as the good boy when it comes to floor time. He dumped over this bag and then hopped in and started digging at the contents. By the time Mom and Dad discovered his scheme, it was too late.

Shh! This is my favorite part of the movie.
Kiwi spends some time with Tony the kitten. He is the shyest in the litter and needs all the socialization he can get.

Chin!
Hugs got some running around time yesterday, but he spent 10% of the time chinning mom's pajamas. "Gotta make sure everybunny knows she's mine!"

Digging maniac
Hugs's favorite part of the day is when he gets to run in the yard. The kittens visit with him and he gets to dig shallow holes. I hope one day he will stay focused long enough to actually make a significant burrow. See a great example on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycQIiA7dnKQ

A tiger in her den
Kiwi was upset to see the kitty condo go. Once her princess tower, now it belongs to the kittens. Do I sense some sibling rivalry brewing?

Holland Feet
They say that in rabbit shows, Holland Lops should have nice, stubby front feet that look like stumps where they meet the ground -- as opposed to feet that curve into an L shape at the ankle. I thought this was a strange criterion at first, but now that they have my attention, I am enamored with Kiwi's feet. They have become stumpier as she matures out of the "teen uglies" phase. When she holds her head up high and shows those front legs, I always have to admire and say, "Aww, Kiwi, you are so cute!"

Hugs and the kitten
Our kittens have graduated to the outdoors. Hugs gets along with them quite well. They take turns checking each other out. Then he takes off on his own to do some binkies while the kittens resume calling for mama.

Theodore?
While trying to get a good shot of Mochi's lips after a strawberry massacre, I noticed his chipmunk-ish resemblance.

And then there were five
We used our Monday off to get a FIFTH bunny. The one under my hand is Hugs. He is Mochi's son, and an even greater Grand Champion than his father. Daddy spotted him online and we learned that his breeder was selling him, so we made an appointment to add this little guy to our family.
Hugs is currently looking for a wife, so if you know of a dwarf hotot doe in Oklahoma, leave a comment!

CHOMP!
Ickus bit me right as I snapped this photo. He never bites, but he was very mad after his trip to the vet yesterday. They touched his eyeball. He apologized to me later.

Bowl attack
At the food bowl it's always the same. All boys try to eat at the same time. Ickus also shows off his ear-crossing talent.

A cartoon I drew
Mochi: "Ooh! My disability check came in the mail today!"
Ickus: "Mochi! Having a bald spot does not qualify you for disability."
By the way, Ickus is sitting in his beloved corner litter pan in this picture, if you couldn't tell.
