Life of the party

JD went to a get-together with us today and everyone wanted to hold him and give him carrots. He was a very good boy and he made lots of new friends.

When you have a pregnant rabbit, it is recommended that you add some calcium to their diet a few days before kindling. Vanna likes lime-flavored tablets the best out of the four flavors in the bottle.

Attack of the Snuggle Cat

One of our cats intruded on bunny floor time and tried his best to show the babies some affection. Rubs and kisses are just not their thing, I guess. Maybe it was the mouse breath that turned them off.

Side by side for dinner time

Magnus and Vanna traded food bowls with Hugs. Now they have two food compartments and they don't climb over each other to get a bite.

With her beady little black eye, gray fur with white underside, and her ravenous appetite, does she not remind you of a great white shark? Kiwi lunges for this carrot like it is her last one.

A walking eater

Magnus is like a lawn mower, gnawing up pieces of grass as he moves through the blades. As opposed to his uncles who like to rip up long stalks and then devour them wood chipper-style.

Time to go bowl shopping

The Kiwis are by far our largest consumers. I remember when Kiwi used to be a relaxed muncher. Now she devours everything as if it were a competition.

5 hungry faces and one food bowl

Kiwi's babies act like fully grown rabbits now. Being under 5 weeks, they still have the nerve to push her out of the pellet bowl. One of them even figured out how to climb out the top of the cage.

Trouble at dinner time

Vanna is ready to chow down, but Magnus wants to cuddle. He likes to force himself under fluffy things like pillows and other bunnies. Poor Vanna has to bridge over him to reach the bowl.

Chow time!

The Three Amigos always huddle around the bowl until the pellets are gone. It doesn't matter if there is not room for all three faces in there, they only lift their head to finish chewing and then swallow.

Plain priorities

Kiwi stands on her bowl full of pellets to get a bite of romaine. Behind her you can see the gestation calendar. If all goes well, we will have two litters within the month. They will be so special!

Gone in a flash

Kiwi was a slow and casual eater in her younger days. When she matured to vegetable-eating age, we discovered her talent in devouring carrots and greens. I can only take 2 pictures maximum per carrot, then I have to get more. She hoovers parsely in a blink.

At the food bowl it's always the same. All boys try to eat at the same time. Ickus also shows off his ear-crossing talent.
